| Flyballis the fastest and loudest of "dog sports"; a lightning fast relay racefor dogs. Oriole offers training opportunities for all levels of dog andhandler experience. Participants that graduate from the introduction andintermediate classes have an opportunity to join a flyball team and competeat tournaments. Introduction classes are held 2-3 times a year. Forprices and a current list of classes being offered, see the coursecatalog: Class Introduction to Flyball | Description An 8-week course in which dogs are taught the elements of Flyball including triggering a flyball box and running a jump chute. | Requirements Dogs should have completed a basic obedience course. They must also both come when called and retrieve a tennis ball in spite of distractions. They should not be aggressive when excited towards dogs or people. | Length 8 wks | | Intermediate Flyball | Open to all dogs that show potential for competition who have completed the Intro to Flyball class. They will refine the skills from the Intro class, be taught how to run a complete course, and be introduced to a dog running against them in the next lane. | Intro to Flyball or permission of instructor. | 8 wks | | Competition Flyball | Ongoing course for dogs who have successfully completed the Intermediate course.
