Our purpose is to help you make your dog a
more enjoyable companion. Whether you want to work towards a title in one
of the dog sports, or simply make your dog a better canine citizen, Oriole
has a training program just for you.
-
-
Our instructors are volunteers with many years
of experience in all aspects of dog activity, including obedience, tracking,
agility, flyball, conformation and breeding. In addition to training you
to train your dog, they can advise you on behavioral problems and dog care
and feeding.
-
-
Both dogs and handlers learn in our training
classes. "Training you to train your dog" is our focus. Every dog and handler
progress at a different rate. Class sizes are limited, to enable Oriole's
instructors to help you with your individual needs in training your dog.
-
-
Our methods stress positive communication between
dog and handler. We believe that unwanted behavior is best corrected using
the least amount of force necessary to get the message across to the dog.
All levels of class instruction focus on the proper timing of praise and
correction that produce results.

Our "clubhouses"

classes simultaneously.
-
Our rings are fully matted, with padding beneath.
-
The facility is climate controlled.

There is ample parking.
Club Organization is described in detail in
the club By-Laws.
